An Assignment and the resulting work.

POETRY ASSIGNMENT TWO

This assignment is a little shorter but will require a bit more imagination and a touch of creativity and originality. You will have five words to work from and you are to write two stanzas that contain these five words in each of them. Of course you may use any number of other words in each stanza. The two stanzas must relate in some manner and they must make sense ( even in a twisted sort of way ). Notice that some of the words can be used as nouns, adjectives or verbs so it would be wise to consider this fact when constructing your two stanzas. The five words are: valleys, light, plain, shadow, glass.

Evaluation:

A.  QUALITY AND ORIGINALITY 10 MARKS

( combined with how creatively you use the words to good advantage)

      DUE DATE: MONDAY, MAY 10TH

     ENGLISH: Poetry Two

He walks around looking for a light

Leaving a glass full of butts behind

From girls of the valleys to mountain climbers

A mere shadow of his desire

Trying not to be so plain

But it will be plain for all to see

As I shadow the end of this allegory

That he doesn't search the valleys for their depth

He's transparent like glass, with little breadth

And his motivation has always been light.
